  1. It's an average score, if the standard deviation of the test is 15 (you should check that out). 'Average' is somewhere between 90 and 110 points.

But you shouldn't really worry about that, see reasons below:

    1. Most of the free IQ tests are worthless c**p, including those on the Internet / newspapers etc. They say it's a real IQ test, but you can only write a real one at a psychologist or in a Mensa entrance exam.

    2. It's important what kind of test you take. For example, if your verbal intelligence is stronger than your mathematical intelligence, you may not score very well on a special test, for example culture fair ones.

    3. Intelligence doesn't really matter. It's an interesting fact about you (and tests can be considered games of some sorts), but it won't tell if you're strong, emotional, creative, etc. Test are highly subjective, there's a good example for that: a Nobel Price winner tried to take the Mensa test, and he failed. Interesting, isn't it?

  2. Average IQ is always 100 no matter what your age is. Real IQ tests will compensate for any age. IQ will also always go up with age and learning. Being 14 with a 97 IQ is not bad. To give you a little perspective, a person with down syndrome or any mental retardation will likely have an IQ between 30 and 60. An adult with a masters degree holding a management job with a 6 figure income can have as low an IQ (I would guess) of 130. If you can get into college you are likely to have an IQ in the 120s at least. I believe the smartest woman in the world has an IQ in the 190s.

However, when it all comes down to it, your IQ score really only scores how well you can take a test. It really means very little, especially when you are average, like most people are. IQ tests are used more to grade how severe a mental retardation is or how much of a genius the nerdy 4th grader is and what grade would be more challenging for them. So don't put too much stock in your score.

  3. i think its ok, its slightly below average(average is 100 but i think thats for adults)

  4. First of all, IQ tests aren't scored like tests in school.  I don't remember the range that they cover, but whoever gave the test should have that information.

You ought to talk to the school counselor to have him or her explain the results to you.  A really good IQ test should actually give you a 'range' that your IQ falls into.  A counselor should have the knowledge and ability to interpret the results for you.

If this test was not professionally given and scored I wouldn't put much faith in the score at all.  If it was given and scored properly, then those giving the scores should have information available in order to explain the scores.

  5. it's average

  6. It's pretty bad

Don't expect to do anything that isn't basic.. your whole life

    Naw I'm just kidding.

Knowledge is really what you put into it, don't base anything off that number just try to be a knowledgeable person in life, and most importantly learn some social skills.

I had my IQ tested when I was 13 and it was 115, and I don't think it means anything to be honest. There are some really smart people who can't even function in the world because they are too smart, so be grateful for what ya got. Honestly.

    Peace.
