  1. every city has its own stations, so we won't know without knowing your city

  2. I guess that depends on what city you're hearing the broadcast in.

In Los Angeles, 98.7 is more of a modern top-40's station with some 80's mixed in from time to time.

  3. I assume you mean UK stations as you're in UK Answers.

That frequency would fall within the 97-99 range which is assigned to national BBC Radio One.

So no, it's far from being 'mostly 80's music'.

  4. In New York City, 98.7 is Kiss-FM (WRKS), an adult-urban station.  Yeah, they DO play a lot of 80's music on that station, although it is mainly R&B and something tells me you are NOT talking about this station.

In the future, please note the city and or call letters of the station you are referring to that way we can all better answer your question.  Just saying the frequency isn't enough.

  5. I love it when people give the frequency of the station, but no call letters, or what city they live in. Do you think the entire world can pick up the radio station you're listening to?

  6. no

it's like music from the 90's and today

  7. As others (and I) have said for months, PLEASE include your city/state/country when asking questions like this. There are at least 30 98.7s in the US, more in other countries. They come in all formats. From country to alternative. The one near me is classic rock.

  8. it depends on where you are. i bet there is at least one 98.7 that is 80s
