  1. 98.6 is an average. Some people run higher, some people run lower. Some people feel really bad with a slight elevation of their normal temp, others don't even notice it. 99.8 is hardly considered, "High" but that doesn't mean that you don't feel bad.

Have you tried some advil? It always makes me feel better.

  2. Well if you feel bad I'd say take some tylenol. The actual point where doctors consider it a fever is at 100 degrees. And if you don't feel bad it's because you run higher that other people.Every person has a different temp. at where they should be.

  3. yeah you have a fever.

  4. It's not that bad. Most doctors don't get worried until the temp gets up to 102 degrees. If it gets to 105 degrees, get to a doctor or hospital fast.

  5. 99.8, is not a temp, however I would hold off with taking Advil or,Tylenol as it might mask what is going on, if anything is going on at all.

FIRST SPEAK TO YOUR PARENTS, IF YOU ARE A CHILD/TEEN.

Fevers, except in babies, young children, and the elderly, or anyone with a severe illness is a GOOD thing, it is how your body fights infection.

Most doctors I've worked with agree that a fever reducer should NOT be given unless your temp is 101.5 or above, excluding those people I mentioned above.

Drink lots of water/fluids. Hope you are okay!

  6. rest if you don't feel well. Yeah its a fever. not sure what you normal run so cant say if it high fever or not for you. If it doesn't go up any i wouldn't worry its just fighting the germs. If it gets to 101 go to dr(safety) if gets to 103 go to hospital at 103 chances are there's an infection in you and that's not good for now just rest.
