Is A 1975 Yamaha GT80 Dirt Bike A 2 Stroke Or 4 Stroke

Hi, l am looking at buying a 1975 Yamaha GT80 dirt bike and l was just wondering if its engine is a 2 or 4 stroke? And what do they usually sell for? Just to make sure lm not getting ripped off. The year of the bike is 1975. Thanks for your help!

The gt80 is a 2 stroke, I would premix the oil(32:1)9 out of 10 times when oil injectson stops working you will be riding it and then its too late...If you mix it,you know it is getting oil and giving the age it could go at anytime..They are running around $250 to $400...A mint one will go higher...


  2. 2 stroke oil injected (dont mix gas...unless your injector is not working),I have a nice one for sale,1978 GT80, call Mike @ 586-202-6926
