  1. Doesn't he need one hit to be a wonder?   lol

I like AJ. He works hard every week to improve and make the show.  He wears his emotions on his sleeve when he fails and knows what it takes to get better.  I like the guy.  Especially after watching him at Darlington when he muffed the first lap of qfying and then put the hammer down on the second lap to make the show.  That was impressive. I have never seen a driver do that at Darlington on the 2nd lap.  I cheered for him.

    Later David.

  2. I hope not I like A.J. He's still young and has some more learning to do but I'm hoping he does well and we see alot more action out of him!!  I thought it was cute to see him so excited ( and surprised) at winning in the shootout to make it in the All-Star Race!! Good Luck A.J.

  3. Superdave there are so many extra good drivers this year

It's gonna be hard for anyone to be the next Gordon,Earnhardt Sr.

Everyone is strong, but I think he will win a few races,

and again he has tasted blood -he might go plumb crazy now

but I don't look for it.

  4. I consulted my magic 8 ball and it said "Thinking not advised. You will hurt yourself" so I don't know. I hope he does well. Seems like a good kid. You guys figure out that coin riddle yet? See Ya.

  5. Wonder if he'll ever get one hit.

  6. I think Allmendinger could be a force to be reckoned with if the equipment he is in is up to par as well. I don't think he is the type of driver that could drive just anything, and still do well.

With that said, I hope next year if he makes it in to the All Star race he works on his bit for the driver introduction. That whole jumping up and bumping chests with his team was painfully embarassing to watch, lol.

  7. one hit wonder

  8. No, he'll hit many more drivers, just give him some time lol...

But really, I think he'll get better and hopefully get Team Red Bull a win eventually

  9. I think in the future once he gets used to the cars he'll be alright. He's young, but eager to learn. Maybe not this year but he will be winning a few races. Then again he could surprise a lot of people and do it this year.  :))

Great question Super Dave! Have a star & a great evenin'

  10. He is a pretty darn good racer, he just needs some time to adjust to the bigger cars. He spent most of his early racing career in very small single seat open wheel cars.

  11. He'll be fine if the phone books he's sitting on when he drives stop moving so much. I guess they moved and made him hit Sadler. He needs to "grow up"...Ha Ha... I made a funny.

  12. I think that he will get better just give him sometime like when he didn't qualify for the first 3 races of this season then when he came back at the Aaron's 499 at Talladega and he has qualified in every race since then and also winning the showdown race on Saturday night was also a good thing for him.

  13. In time I'm sure I will quit calling him AJ Wallmendinger, he needs more racing time in these cars, I think he will be okay, he has the talent, maybe the Red Bull team can get it together, but I'd like to see him in a Chevy..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  14. "thebest" and "tbone" - great answers.  and what coin riddle wild bill?

i think a.j. pullmyfinger (not mine, they were joking about that on "this week in nascar") has potential.  will he be a "force to be reckoned with?"  i don't see it.  a player maybe, but not a force.

  15. I don't know enough about him to make a opinion like that.

  16. Better not ask me after last week's incident. lol I never thought he really would go anywhere and still feel that way. That ride belongs to Mike Skinner.

  17. if those are the only choices, out of kindness, I think i'ld have to wait awhile before I would answer that. I'm watching a couple other guys that look like they might be "chomping on the bit".  It would be interesting to see the same question later in the season.

  18. I think the the boy can drive Dave !! Really do !!

Having Red Bull riding with ya helps alot to though? Ya reckon

Toyota...  sure are on to something right now??????

  19. No he is a good qualifyer but a terrible racer and in NASCAR it's racing that matters.

  20. Technically, he hasn't had his "hit" yet...winning the "Open" race to the All-Star race isn't exactly an outstanding feat.  No points race win = no "hit".  Just ask Michael Waltrip pre 2001.

  21. No, he'll be struggling for the rest of his life. He got sat out for part of this year, at RED BULL Racing! and is looking for an improvement.....PETTY! To him, that's Hendrick.I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't think he has the talent.

  22. Can't be a one hit wonder if you can't win. Put Skinner in the car, A.J sucks.
