  1. Sure ... if it existed.  If it claims that, run ... it's a lie.

    In general a higher CR is desirable, but there are several caveats.

    - there are no standards for CR, so manufacturuers will quote a number derived from some obscure (and irrelevent) approach to generate the highest number possible.

    - High CR ratings are theoretical at best. While a high number is a good starting point (and may indicate a great picture) in all but a completely dark room (i.e NO ambient light) with dark, non-refective walls ceiling and floor, the EFFECTIVE CR of a projector -- no matter how high the theoretical value -- will be no more than about 2-5000:1.
