  1. It's the opposite of a career.  A career takes real work!

  2. IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK FOR DODEA (DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE EDUCATION ACTIVITY).  IF YOU GET HIRED FROM THE STATES AND GET SENT OVERSEAS THEY PAY FOR EVERYTHING... HOUSING, BILLS, ETC.  FOR MORE INFORMATION VISIT:

  3. Teaching is a very well paid career.  I'm tired of the weeping and the wailing from alleged professionals with a fully paid summer vacation and a lifetime retirement at taxpayer expense.  Every government paycheck is a welfare check.  No government worker is worth what he/she is paid.

  4. Yes, teachers are biased. We LOVE what we do (if you didn't, you wouldn't do it for this little!) Is teaching secondary school a pain sometimes? You bet your life it is. But it is also a very rewarding, fulfilling job when you see the lights come on in someone's eyes and they understand. It has great hours if you are a parent, since you are gone the same times (roughly) as your kids, and you have summers off. (But you don't get a lot of vacation like at other jobs). You get paid enough to live on if you are supporting just yourself. IF you have a family, you will probably need two incomes.

If you want to teach, try substitute teaching or volunteer tutoring in a classroom. If you can stand doing that, then teaching might just be for you.
