  1. No he is not rare...he is albino. Albino is a heterozygous mutation of lutino and blue.

  2. If his eyes are red then that means he's an albino... white parakeets that are not albinos are fairly common in pet stores but I've never seen an actual albino before. I do believe that's fairly rare.

Do you intend to keep it? Maybe it's somebody's pet that got out; if you like you can check your local newspapers/Craigslist, someone may have posted an ad for a missing bird. I doubt there are any other albino parakeets flying around your town. It's pretty lucky that it came to you, most pet birds stand little chance in the wild but albinos are even worse off.

  3. yes they r rare

  4. it depends where you live and where you get birds. some pet stores have plenty while others have none.

  5. i seen them alot! if u go to Petco. they have like 5 white parakeets.they are really pretty.

  6. no i have gotten  3 before so they are not rare

  7. Yes, I used to have a white one but it was very mean.  Its eyes were also red.  I called it Albie for short.  It bit all the time.

  8. Yes because i bought my second parakeet where the label said Rare parakeet and there was only white and yellow parakeets with red eyes in there.
