Is ADSL2+ The fastest net connection you can get?

Just wanted to Know, As the question says. I'm generally very tech savvy but have always wondered weather cable connections can beat adsl2+

  1. Well ADSL2+ can be up to 24mbit per its specifications!  That is fast.  Most cable is 10mbit or under. A lot depends on how far you are from the switch as to the speed you can get with ADSL2+.    Fiber will beat either one and distance isn't an issue.


  2. ADSL is asyncronous and is slower in one direction than the other.  Normally upload is half or less of download.  The fastest overall is SDSL or syncronous.  Both directions the same speed or very close.
