Is AFL 2007 (PS2 game) any better than AFL 2005?

My older young fella (James) bought AFL 2005 (the game for Playstation) second hand recently and all I can say about it is it is a piece of c**p. The commentary is awful compared to other codes, the graphics are woeful, the tactics are totally unrealistic etc etc.

Has anyone played the later versions (e.g. 2007) and if so are they any better. I'm vaguely thinking of taking his in and trading it in on the later version for Xmas but if it's just as bad, then stuff it, I'll buy him a soccer game.

Any thoughts chair wonders and couch potatoes?

Sorry she has never played the 2007 version.

She has only played 05/06 versions.She prefers the Soccer games.

My daughter suggest to get him Fifa 08,or Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

If you don't want to spend too much get Fifa 07 which is just as good.

My eldest has got it & 2006 & says both are sensational

He agrees about 05 being c**p.

FIFA 07 is great, so is the Rugby League 07 game( he has sooooo many, i can't keep up!)

I think it might be more enjoyable.

The graphics are just as bad.

But the players show more recognition than show in previous games.

They're is also a in-built career mode, where you can train players to improve, play out the whole season including the nab cup and trade players at the end of the season.

Also , the foes are not as easy to beat .

For example- In Afl 2004 , I could win by 200- 400 points easily. But that's good, you get a challenge.

They're are also new mission challenges, where you match  

the team  of eg 1960 with the players of today.

You get a  huge choice of jumpers. Eg I know you're a cats supporter, so you can play in their new  clash jumper.
