Clearly partition has been a total waste. The gains from Pakistans indipendence for the Muslim community could have been added into the Indian constitution.

Since partition we've seen mass genocide by the Pakistani's in Easter Pakistan (Now Bangladesh), terror, corruption, political and economic instability.

Indeed there is still inequality in India amongst religious minorities but all are benefitting from the economic gains and overall political stability.

Not really what you, Overall standard of living in Pakistan is better than that of India's. To me it is all about standard of living. All industries and infrastructure mean nothing if the citizens don't have good standard of living.

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism have martyred 2250 women, widowed 22591, and molested 9750 during the last 18 years.

According to the report, Indian troops have been routinely involved in sexual harassment of Kashmiri women to suppress the ongoing liberation struggle. Besides, although men have been subjected to the cases of disappearances largely, but women have been adversely affected because of being related to the disappeared people as wives, daughters, mothers and sisters. A sizable number of one-lakh mental patients due to the violence perpetrated by the troops are women. A Kashmiri woman Hurriyat leader Zamrooda Habib was recently convicted to five-year imprisonment by a New Delhi court in a false case against her.

Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Bilal Ghani Lone in a media interview in Srinagar today, appealed the international community to impress upon India to stop using Kashmiri women, as a weapon of war against the people of Kashmir. He emphasised that the miseries of Kashmiris could be redressed by implementing Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf’s four-point formula on Kashmir particularly demilitarisation of the territory.

Pakistan was set up not for political independece- but to instill a situation of perpetual instability for arms sales to both parties.

Pakistan is fundamentally fdlowed in contruction- being Islamic and not secular- it constitutionally disaffects many nominally patriotic pakistanis not of the makority ethnicity and realted religion. Bangladesh illustrates this point well.
