  1. Yes, everyone that is not vital has the day off, what i mean is that business have time off but some people like hospitals and other vital areas dont.

You should be fine, just check to be sure though, better to be safe than sorry.

  2. They may do. Ring them.

  3. Everyone gets ANZAC Day as a public holiday, though people working at clubs or in retail would still be rostered to work but at double or double time and a half penalty rates. Shops open at 1pm so retail employees may well get the morning off and paid for. Clubs will open early for the ANZAC festivities and two up. Of course emergency services and the like will run as usual.

As you stated you're a receptionist so yes you will get the day off and get paid to play two up... Gotta love a public holiday.

  4. Yes it is.

Good Friday, Christmas/Boxing day and Anzac day are pretty  much untouchable when it comes to having the day off.  Everyone gets it (or they get paid triple time for having to work then).   Just about all the shops will be closed for the day or at least until lunchtime.

As for two up, in Sydney -  Anzac day is the only time you can officially play Two Up anywhere outside of a Casino.

  5. Yes. It is a public holiday for all but if you are asked to work you should be paid double time and a half.

Good luck with the new job.
