Is AT&T basic DSL good enough for gaming?

I'm still playing PS2, and am using Comcast Hi Speed Internet and it works fine. However, I am tired of their rates going up and up and up and am thinking of switching to DSL. Realistically, is ATT DSL basic good for online gaming?

I am not a gamer so not sure what download speeds it takes - faster probably helps.

I would think a great deal depends on your computer - memory, speed, processor, etc. It's possible if your computer is capable the basic dsl speed could work.
