Is AT&T is the same as Orange in Dominican republic?

I heard that AT&T and orange phone company in Dominican republic are the same, and i want to know if it's true.

t-mobile is ORANGE i know this because i had a phone with orange!

AT&T is Codetel

Cingular is Orange

Verizon is Verizon

and I think T-mobile is Claro.

I doubt it; AT&T is a worldwide brand name.  Try their website and see if they're in the DR under that name.  That doesn't mean that AT&T doesn't have a stake in Orange (owns part or all of it).

AT&T is American

Orange is fron FRANCE TELECOM has nothing to do with each other.

Dominican Republic is also using Claro owned by a South American Company

The others are Tricom and Centenial (smaler ones)
