  1. The new version of it I believe is completely legal every where. They do not make it the same as they did when it was banned.


  2. It was legalized in the US in early 2007 or so.

    And it is the exact same as "traditional" absinthe. "Real" absinthe is a myth...it has never contained 50ppm of thujene. Chemical testing on vintage bottles from the 1800's by TA Breaux has shown that "real" absinthe contained 5ppm to 8ppm, well under the 10ppm regulation in the US.

    Furthermore...it would take so much "real" absinthe to make you hallucinate that you would be dead from alcohol poisoning long before.
