  1. The main advantage ibuprofen has over Tylenol is that it  reduces inflammation (inflammation worsens pain and causes pain by itself) as well as pain and fever. Tylenol does not reduce inflammation.  So if you are using ibuprofen for pain associated with inflammation (arthritis, sprains, strains etc) you might consider it "stronger" than Tylenol. But if there is no inflammation both are equal in there pain relief and their ability to reduce fever.An advantage that Tylenol has over Ibuprofen is that is doesn't cause stomach upset and possible ulcers.


  2. No, it's not stronger, they just work in different ways. Some people get better results with different medications.
