Question:

Is Acuity a good golf club brand?

Im a beginner player, and i for a 17 piece set for my birthday, the next round i did at my local par 3 course, i shot lower by 6-8 shots, so was it just luck, or are the clubs actually pretty good.

Also, any tips on how to drive the ball straight and get it up in the air, it usually goes on the ground when i am using a tee and i have a big slice, the ball starts off straight, then turns sharply, not going more than a total of mayb 150-200 yds.

Any help will be appreciated, and i will try to vote for a best answer so you can get the 10 pts.

  1. They are a good solid beginner brand.  I actually bought my wife a set of Acuity clubs a month or so ago as her first set.

As for the height and slice, my only advice is to spend some time at the driving range trying out different things like clubs/grip/stance/ tee height/etc...  until you find what works for you that you can repeat on the course.

  2. For a beginner, just using "new" clubs from any brand helps out psychologically and will be a help.  As you get better and try out newer clubs, you will find ones you will like even more and that will help out.  When you get to be a single digit handicap you will see the differences even more and you will want to get better clubs.

As far as keeping the ball straight - a few tips (can't say for sure cuz there are so many causes of a slice - search curing a slice)

    Strengthen your grip

Keep your right elbow tucked in during your backswing

Focus on an inside-out swing (look at your divots)

  3. yes

  4. Never in the world would i get those

    NO
