Ajanta Mendis is just living a one night fame of that Asia cup & everyone will forget this guy once world's best batting line pile up huge scores against him. The Indian players in Asia cup final were youngsters so dont jump too much over it.

Time will tell........Harbhajan Singh has the experience.But Ajantha Mendis to become a good spinner has to constantly take wickets in both Test matches and ODI's.

There is no comparison between Ajantha and Harbhajan.

Both bowlers have different style and character.

One more thing, Ajantha Mendis has still more to prove against batsman like Sachin-Rahul-Laxman ... Lets wait and see.

It is hard to say....... Because Mendis is an armatuer player .....He did nt play that much cricket ......... He might be the chief destructor during the recently concluded Asia Cup, But Bajji is an experienced player he did his best in the past.... No can forget about the hat-trick which he takes against the Australians.......... And also he picked more than 30 wickets in 3 matches series.......

Come on, Ajanta Mendis has just come. No one has seen him before. But now that as he is known to everyone, each team will plan to play against him. Lets see can he handle the pressure. As somebody said let him play for couple of years then we will see.

But for now Harbhajan Singh is better then Mendis

No he has still lot to learn. He can never be compared in the lights of Bhajji or any other legend. He has just started his carrer. He has still lots to learn from. One match doesnt do it all. Consistent performance is requiered. He will surely get carried away by the media, sponsorers etc... But he is a pretty good bowler. But he cannot be compared with Bhajji.

In the last 10 ODI matches Harbhajan played, he bowled 391 balls, conceded 277 runs and got 8 wickets at an average of 35 runs per wicket and 49 balls a wicket.

In the last 8 ODIs played, Mendis bowled 336 balls, conceded 205 runs and got 20 wickets at an average of 10 runs per wicket and 17 balls per wicket.

This is the kind of difference between Harbhajan and Mendis. My computer gives 79 marks to Mendis and 37 marks to Harbhajan.
