  1. It's ok- it's basically like any small town in Australia.

It's a small beachside provincial town 200km from, population 25,150-ish.

If you're from a big city- it will be completely boring to you.

Western Australia is pretty average in general though. Melbourne and Sydney are better.

Avoid Darwin and Adelaide- they suck.

  2. Albany is beautiful, far from provincial, though rather isolated, but compared to the rest of the west very cold.  Western Australia in general is the most progressive state in the country.  Oh and by the way not at ALL BORING!!  I really dont know where people get that idea from.  I have lived in every state in this country, and every capital city,  I keep coming back here because it is far from boring, it is far from over crowded (unlike Melbourne and Sydney!), it is still clean and friendly and we have the best climate and beaches.

  3. Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia.

It was settled before the Swan River Colony came into existence.

It was also where the ANZAC fleet sailed from in WW1.

It's a really beautiful place, and if I didn't have to work in the city to earn my income, it would be somewhere I would rather live.

  4. I live near there, i would say it would be nice because there is very pretty beaches and pretty scenery and it is big enough to supply you with all the 'essential' takeaway places and shops. Its pretty nice. Friendly.
