Is Alkaline Trio's new album really worth buying???

I'm a diehard ALK3 fan, but I've heard their new songs and compared to the older ones I was rather disapointed. I've been putting off buying their new album for some time now. I hear bad reviews of it and i hear good reviews. For those of you who have it, was it really worth it? 'cause if not I don't think I'm gonna waste my money =/

You say you are a "DIEHARD" alkaline trio fan. If so, then wouldnt you want to get the album anyway... i am a diehard fan too and personally, i dont like to compare the albums bc they are all different and unique in their own way...sure i maybe one for their older stuff but.....personally, i really like their new album and i feel that ther are a bunch of songs that are worth out checking. Sure, there maybe some radio friendly songs, but the majority of the album is still really good singing and instrumental wise... please check it out if you say you are a die hard fan... if your still unsure, ask your friends if they have it so you can listen to it or go to alk3 myspace or youtube to listen to their new songs to see if you like it....i hope you enjoy
