What I mean is allergy a genetic problem that can transfer from mother to child. My aunt is allergic to almost anything and so is one of her child. My mother is not allergic to anything but my grandma is and my sister has some allergic reactions to sea foods, chicken and others stuffs.

  1. Allergies are a genetic predisposition and have historically favored those who live in areas where parasites are prevalent.  The IgE antibody response, which also creates allergies, is an evolutionary design to fight of invaders too large for the innate immune system (such as macrophages) to eat whole.

IgE cross-linkage and histamine response results in the attraction of eosinophiles, which release the cellular equivalent of a nuclear bomb at their targets.  The chemicals digest everything in the area, even your own tissues, in an effort to damage a parasite enough to kill it over time.

In the wink of an evolutionary eye, now we have all sorts of chemicals and irritants that we didn't historically have.  So, the job mopping up chemicals sometimes inappropriately falls on the IgE antibody and related cells.

With that genetic predisposition, if a person is sick or eats a chemical- or parasite-ridden piece of seafood, allergies can easily happen as the immune system tries to body-slam the invader.  Then you can generate a long-term allergy (or immune sentry) to the trigger.

In the end, what used to be an advantage in evolution has become a burden in an era of super-clean, bleach, public sanitation, and modern medical treatment.

  2. maybe

  3. Maybe is right. "Most allergies result from a combination of inheritance (genes) and environmental exposures (pollens, animal danders, etc.). Being exposed to allergens at certain times when the body’s defenses are low or weak, such as after a viral infection or during pregnancy, also may contribute to the development of allergies."
