Is Alyssa Marie a good name for my baby girl?

Question

I am pregnant with a baby girl and I think that I want to name her Alyssa Marie (middle name being Marie). I love it and think it's a beautiful name, and my husband and all of my friends and family like it, but I don't know if they're just saying that to be nice....

What are your thoughts on this name?

It's a pretty name but it's dated and Marie is oh, so overused. Even Alyssa is really popular.

I would pick a different middle name if you're intent on using Alyssa or a different first name (something less common) if you're intent on using Marie as the middle.

my youngest granddaughters mom got "creative" with her name which is Alyssa  but spelled it really dumb like this---- A l i s a !!!

I think it is okay. Those names aren't my favorite. But I like names that are a little less common. So all in all I think this is a good name. And if you like it then personally, who cares what other people think. =]

Marie is a little overused, but Alyssa is very pretty : )
