To cut to the chase,  no, Ambac is not going to go out of business.

Despite the doom and gloom of various news reports, (much of it BS)   Ambac/mbi, etc. have raised much additional cash to cover any actual losses in the future.  Remember, actual losses of muni debt is nil.  The actual losses they do have are of course related to their insurance of non-muni debt.  Its just a matter of time before they get their AAA rating back.  In the meantime, their low stock price has created one heck of a buying opportunity for those with a little patience.

I heard that the stock price was going to hit around 7.34 by the end of the month based on a few more announcements..Either get on now or wish you had later
