Is America a downright mean country?

Michelle Obama thinks so, and I for one tend to agree.

Oh come on.  America is a mean country?  How many mean people do you meet in and average day?  How many mean people have had a negative effect on you personally--and how many good people have had a positive effect?  America is a place of hope and opportunity.  That is why so many people want to come here.  We have problems that we need to solve, and one of them is our willingness to find fault with our country without looking for the positive as well.

A better description would be HARD but FAIR.  We don't sugar coat stuff (for the most part) and if another country seriously steps on their johnson we put them in check (ALWAYS).
