  1. Yes, that is why immigrants flock to the United States (even illegally).

  2. YES!!!

  3. You know, it's both yes and no. I mean, America, to me, as an Amercan, it never stops having unexpected things. You might not thinks so because there's a lot of bad stuff going on around, such as crime, a little bit of racism, drug abuse, poverty, slothness, obecity, and other abuses. I think the reason why is because America is thought to have more freedom than others. But with more freedom comes with more responsibility. And I think some of the people here should take more responsibility in their freedom here in America, because there are a decent amount of people here who abuse that so called "freedom." Don't get me wrong, though. Strangely enough, if you just forget about all of these tragedies, you'll end up perfectly okay. Where I live, accidents and crime are no strangers to us in our state, nor is it in any other american states. But hey, you'll only experience this once, twice, or just a tiny bit more. Who knows? Maybe you'll be lucky enough not to experience it at all. This is my reason for the "no."

My "yes" side of the story is that there's a lot of things America has to offer, such as entertainment (which we should have a lot of, I mean, there are many famous amusement parks here, such as disneyworld, six flags, and more), food, education, career choices, traveling, sights, and much more. I mean, there's just so much out there. There's no other way to explain America.

Which country do you live in?

  4. Depends on how you mean. Most of the people are really nice, friendly and helpful. some are as bigoted and stupid as you will ever see. The scenery is brilliant, the food is ace, the service is brilliant, and everything is just soooo big. The politicians stink as much as any politicians do. Overall theres good and bad.

  5. if you turn a blind-eye to guns, death penalty, drugs, gangs, conservatism, censorship, the bible-belters, rednecks, lack of health-care, pitiful minimum wages, emphasis on superficial vanity etc. etc. They don't even have equality laws for equal pay for women ;/

It's a dog-eat-dog country, survival of the fittest.

  6. America is awesome!  Still the envy of the world.

  7. No

  8. I heard someone on television say ' The further away from salt water you go in The States, the scarier it gets.' [or words to that effect] which seemed to sum it up rather well.....

  9. That and a whole lot more

  10. No.

    Declining power

One of Worst healthcare systems in Western World

One of the worst educations systems in Western world

Still proclaims it as land of the free....despite the fact the UN has its press as being ranked 48th in the world for freedom.

A culture where everyone who criticises Iraq war or Military Industrial complex is branded a 'bleeding heart liberal'.

Reccomend you read 'After The Empire' by Emmanuel Todd

  11. I don't know. What did you hear? What do you want it to be? To me America can be anything you want it to be. Whatever you make it to be. And TEXAS is a fine part of it. The further you get from Texas the worst it gets, na not really. If you have never been here and driven through and around it I doubt you can imagine the magnitude of its size, the vastness of its resources, or the potential of its people. I doubt you can dream of all the possibilities a free person could make of what it has to offer. My America is a place where I was born into a family where after my parents paid the bills when I was a child they had $9 to spend anyway they wanted.  I am middle class and my brother is filthy rich. He made himself what he is and I made myself what I am. I am not afraid to walk through the darkness and I do not fear anyone, anywhere. I can stay here in Texas or move to New York, New York, or LA in Cali. I have seen LA and Hollywood and I don't want to see NY. I'll stay here. I can sit down to a cup of Joe with a couple of old timers who might or might not be wealthy because it don't matter that much. Nobody is better than another except in the depth of their character.

America is what you choose to make it. Nothing more and nothing less.

  12. No, it really isn't. If I had the resources and the money, I'd be out of here in a heartbeat. People can be so rude here. They say America is 'the land of freedom bla bla bla' but there actually is a lot of racism/sexism. And it's horrible how immoral some political leaders are. It's very disheartening.

    Where do you live?

  13. Not all of America. Good, SMART and cultural places like San Francisco, New York City, Boston are all worth living in or around. But places like Texas (BLA, sorry but BLA.), Wisconsin,  Utah, Wyoming, Pennsylvania (You get the point.) All these places aren't that great and most people aren't that smart. (Bush for example.)

Anyways, If you find a good place in America, and your smart, you can get your American Dream
