Is American Eagle considered as preppy as Hollister/Abercrombie?

  1. not AS preppy, but pretty darn prep. i like preppy though.


  2. idk...but WTF how does hollister have xtra small for guys hahahahahaha... probably is..cuz they look the same to a certain degree..

    and hollister/abercrombie are more surfer/beachy, not preppy

  5. It is still preppy, but not as trashy as hollister/abercrombie.

  6. Nope. Then again, Hollister and Abercrombie aren't preppy. It's a common misconception with people these days. Preppy is Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, Talbots, Calvin Klein, Lilly Pulitzer, Burberry, Lands End, LL. Bean, Vinyard Vines and places like that. The only thing that's preppy that you can get at Hollister, Abercrombie and American Eagle is a polo.

  8. It is not considered as a preppy store because I barely see preps wear the clothes. I love that store. Half of my clothes that I wear are from there! They also don't have bad advertising like Abercrombie/ Hollister.

  9. it depends on your definition of preppy. i think that hollister is a more laid back-sophisticated look & that american eagle is a girly girl-bright colored look.
