I have realized that the media in the U.S is extremely bias, one-sided, stereotypical and filled with misconceptions. Many may say all media of every country is like that, but American media over does it. I came to the U.S three weeks ago to visit from India, and I realized something. Anytime cnn or fox news show china, they show the high rises, glass buildings and wide roads of Shanghai and Beijing. Anytime they show India, they show poverty, slums, disease, underdevelopment. Even in India (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi) there are tall, modern buildings, great infrastructure, malls, clubs, bars, etc. Basically, they hide all negatives of China and only show positives, and hide all positives of India and show only the negatives. Even is China there is poverty, slums, etc but they rarely show it on they news. The movies and TV shows are also obsessed with stereotyping India...Why does the media do this? Also, do the people of the U.S believe what they see on the news?

  1. Why do people do it? India=still a few decades behind China literally. It can't even get a significant amount of its population to work in factories. Only 10% of its people have jobs that benefit the economy. Compared to China that has lifted 400 million people out of poverty with manufacturing jobs, it sucks, no offence.

  2. and what does indian TV show about America.....gangsters? cowboys? desperate houswives?   s*x in the city?  and why pick on fox....they are right wing nuts...most media are left wing nuts
