I never watched the whole thing because I was told it was stupid. However I caught the last several minutes of it a few weeks ago on t.v. and I am inclined to agree with what I was told.

It's WEIRD. I suppose if you're into horror movies, you'd probably like it. Myself, I would NEVER buy a horror movie. Why would I want to see something like that over and over again?

The weirdest part of the movie is that this guy kills people to the tune of "Sussudio" by Phil Collins. You'll never listen to that song the same way again.  I would rate it 7 or 8.

The movie is AWESOME. Christian Bale made his mark here. You know, Batman? I agree that the book is better, but that's the case about 99% of the time with a movie adaptation. However, this movie captures the novel's satire and wit AND the overall idea that materialism and self-absorption keeps everyone blind to their own surroundings.

Great, great movie. In the end - like the novel - it leaves you wondering if this really happened at all.

RATING: Solid 9er.

The film remains loyal to the book (which is a classic), the movie has a sick sense of humor and it's not for everyone. But if you have a open-mind (and a strong stomach) you can truly appreciate the art that this film has to offer. It stars Christian Bale (current Batman), he really makes a name for himself with this bloody masterpiece.
