  1. I think that sometimes Americans overdo it with their patriotism. I love my country, but I believe the U.S. has performed quite a few bad actions in the last 7 years.

What bothers me is that some Americans are outraged if you suggest that the U.S. is up to no good at times. They mistakenly think our leaders will never do anything to harm their own country. They are wrong.

  2. Really depends on how a person defines their patriotism.

Taking pride in your country's successes is totally reasonable.

Turning a blind eye to anything your country does wrong is something to be hated.

  3. I suppose it depends on your perspective. Americans, at least normal Americans, take pride in living in what they view as the greatest nation in the world, but when that is taken into a bellicose foreign policy, it's not a good thing.

  4. Americans are Proud of who we are. A great nation belonging to all different religion and belief.

Bad politicians and their power hungry corrupt policies don't define who we are.

Americans are probably only one of those people who are not afraid to criticize our politicians. Rest of the nations in the world are not even PERMITTED to do that!!
