She will lose about 300 points with her 3rd round loss and having reached semis last year had 450 points to defend. With Maria out as well and not gaining any points, Jelena can over take these two and become number one with a showing in the finals, and/ or the win. I believe Svetlana also can become number one with the win. No one else can, otherwise despite her nerves not handling her new status, top ranking as yet, Ivanovic could still be number one.

JJ is on 3685 and has to reach the semis (450 points) to overtake the no.1 spot. she has to defend the 150 points of the 4th round last year. reaching the QF is not enough.

Kuzi has to defend her QF points (250) from the last year
