Is Anderson Silva the best pound for pound fighter in UFC?

I've been of the opinion that he's been the best for a year or so. What are your thoughts?

I would have to say yes. He destroys top notch fighters...I would like to see him go up to 205,  watch out

Hey Brent!  I don't have too much of an opportunity to see a lot of the UFC fighting other than some highlights here and there but based on what I've seen and what has been said about Silva, I would say that yes pound for pound, he's the best.  Take care sir.

He is an he has shown that he is .. his next match would be the ultimate challenge.. if he does win there shouldnt be any doubt .....

Anderson Silva faced Yushin Okami and Okami won due to an illigal kick by Anderson.

I think Okami is Andersons only real threat at middleweight and I believe Silva would probally win.

I don't know about best pound for pound fighter yet. I still think BJ penn is the best out there.  I thought for a long time that Fedor was the best but until he starts getting some competition again I will wait to see if that happens.

Also you have to think of Shogun. His only 2 losses in the past 14 matches came from griffin and when coleman broke shoguns arm. Remember shogun is the one that beat the light heavyweight champ(rampage) and the heavyweight champ(big nog) easily!!

At this point, definitely yes.

Six fights in UFC, six wins, total domination of all his opponents (Dan Henderson included, which was amazing) and none of the matches went past the second round.

Anderson, it has to be said, right now really is a total package and, other then Yushin Okami perhaps, it's very difficult to see who could even challenge him in UFC middleweight division at the moment. Personally, I don't feel that Okami will be able to do too much against him either, but he has already defeated him and currently seems to be the only legitimate challenger. If, or most likely, when Silva beats him it will be a clean house and Anderson's definite confirmation as pound for pound the best UFC fighter in my opinion.
