Is Andre Agassi Assyrian?

I've heard...well more than rumors that he's Assyrian (if that makes sense) but nowhere states that he is infact Assyrian, though I am sure of it. (I think it was half Assyrian and half American)

Does anyone actually know??

Proof that he is? Proof that he isn't?

  1. His father is Armenian, but born in Iran, and his mother is English.  His father actually competed in wrestling for Iran in the 1948 and '52 Olympics, before emigrating to the Unites States.

  2. Agassi was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Emmanuel "Mike" Agassi and Elizabeth "Betty" Agassi (née Dudley).[3] His father is of Armenian ancestry and represented Iran in boxing at the 1948 and 1952 Olympic Games before emigrating to the United States. He was intent on having a child win all four tennis Grand Slam tournaments

  3. Agassi Rocks.

  4. I'm not sure what his mother his, but his father was half Armenian and half Assyrian from Iran, which is quite a common combination because Armenians and Assyrians are both Christian minorities in the Middle East so they stuck together.

So he is part Assyrian. His father was a good friend of my great uncle, who also used to box in Iran.

  5. His Father is Armenian, he was a boxer for Iran in the Olympics. (1948, 1952). so Armenian not Assyrian
