I hear Laker fans saying this all the time- "Well next year with Bynum back, we'll be unstoppable and win 70 games and the Championship!"

Stuff like that... Bynum ain't no SHAQ!!!

  1. he doesn't  need to be shaq.The lakers where really good last year before he got hurt  he was averging 13 points and 10 rebounds.With pau gasol there he just needs to be a rebounder and defender


  2. No one is saying that Bynum is Shaq.  But, before he got hurt, last season, he showed that he was making great strides in his game.  remember, this guy is 21.  He is very young, and still has a lot of time to improve.

    He has shown that he has a variety of post moves (eg up and under, hook, a little bit of a fadeaway, etc), he can score with either hand, he is an above average rebounder and shot blocker.  Plus, he has great size and amazing touch, for a big man.

    He does need to improve his one-on-one defense and his pick-and-roll defense.  But this guy has amazing potential.

    Lakers got to the Finals w/o him, so how good do you think they are going to be with a young talented center.

  10. I wouldn't say he is overrated. I think he is just too overhyped. I am a Laker fan myself but I dont think Bynum was going to be a big difference in the finals. He is a good Center but he is not like a Kareem, Shaq, or Russell type center.

  11. Bynum is good, but mostly i think the lakers fans are just making excuses for losing and getting blown out in game 6. But Bynum is good and has potential to be a very good player, but there is never gonna be another SHAQ

    See b4 he got injured lakers were playing real good and bynum was showing his true potential. now that hes healthy, we see what he and oden can provide for their team.

  13. He is a top 5 center in the NBA, and for a team that was two wins away from winning the championship, its almost scary to think about how good they are going to be with him.

  15. 2 seasons ago Bynum sucked, Laker fans pissed off because they didn't trade him for Jason Kidd.

    -He played 35 games this season, 13 points 10 Rebounds played good defense, well put this way, he played better defense than Gasol. Dang in 35 games he has turned his career around. He went from Kwame to Shaq in 35 games! Amazing!
