Is the current AFL boss trying too hard to conform the game to his own vision of how it should be regardless of the views of supporters of the game?

  1. Yes I agree with what you said about him only turning the game into his own vision, without taking the opinions of supporters into account. I think the AFL should hold something like the 20 20 summit to let supporters express their views on where AFL can improve. That would be funny...

  2. eddie mcguire? youve got to be joking

    hes way worse than demetriou

    youre obviously a collingwood supporter

  3. Yes.

The next team should come from Tasmania and not Queensland or New South Wales.

  4. ****** much?

  5. No, he's the CEO who will do whatever he desires.

And that includes setting up two new teams in untapped markets.  One might go well (Gold Coast) and one might be a waste of time (Western Sydney).  All this whilst ignoring Tasmania, who deserve a team more than anyone.

He will also crush two Melbourne teams.  North Melbourne and Richmond will fold.

  6. Yes, as did Wayne Jackson. (Fancy ditching 'Four'n'Twenty' pies in favour of those bloody awful 'Balfours' ones. He only did it because they were South Australian!)

The sooner Eddie McGuire decides to 'put his hand up' for the job, the sooner we will see some improvements to the game that appease supporters, and not just the corporate world.

It is not a truly national game without teams from Tassie, Norther Territory and ACT.
