  1. I had him on my fantasy team last year and he was a total bust.  It was his contract year as well, so it made sense that he'll have a breakout year, but nope, total was of a draft pick.  Changing to Dodger blue hasn't helped much as he looks like a shell of himself.  Almost makes you believe he was on the Juice before and now is off and thus the crappy numbers.

Interestingly enough, it sounds like Jones being such a disappointment led to the Dodgers making the trade for Manny.

  2. He was the best player in 2006 and after that he lost it. Andrew probably misses Alanta but that's a part in life for baseball players.

  3. He got injured and now he can't get back to his 50 homerun form and it doesn't look like he'll get back there unless something dramatically changes.

  4. He's D.O.N, Done. He Had His Better Days With The Braves When He Had Chipper At His Side. Now He Has 2 Deal With Manny Ramirez. He Also Has 2 Deal With Joe Torre That Is Racist. What A *****?

  5. He just lost it ,Strange how that can happen.

  6. He's probably finished in terms of being a competent player. But the Dodgers still owe him $15M for 2009, so he'll be around for awhile.

BTW, he definitely wasn't incredible in 2007. He hit 26 HR, but he batted .222 with a .724 OPS. He was mediocre last year, and the Dodgers were extremely foolish to pay him so much money.

  7. Man he was looking hall of fame material on the braves, good hitting stats, amazing fielding... It's like he fell off a cliff and burst into flames.

  8. Well,

Andruw was amazing with the braves.

But ever since he's been with the dodgers,

    he's flat out sucked!

I used to think he was just in a little slump.  But pitchers have a better average than him.  Although he's not a useful hitter, atleast the Dodgers have his outfielding ability.  He's made some very fine plays out in center.

I dont think he's DONE, but he definetly needs a lot of work.

Considering the Dodgers have Manny Ramirez, Juan Pierre, Matt Kemp, and Andre Eithier, I would sit Andruw Jones out for a little bit and make him work extra hard.

I wish him and the Dodgers the best of luck.

  9. His career isn't necessarily over, but his prime certainly is.  His best days are long gone.
