Eurovision Song, last, few points, for those who had the pleasure of not watching a very painful and political outfit of a show.......

  1. No, he'll go from strength to strength in the UK - coming last in the Eurovision means diddly squat and us UK'ers always rally behind a looser (look at Tim Henman).  The song was good too so don't you go worrying about Andy.

  2. I saw Andy Braham on Loose Women the other week and he said that he knew he probably wouldnt win because of the way of votes go today.  He said he just really wanted to sing in the competition.  And no his career wont be over after "loosing".  How can you call it loosing when you know full well that the UK wont get any votes coz the world hates us even though we splash tax-payers money over all countries apart from our own?  Its not about the singing anymore its about politics and has been for a long time.  You are delusional if you still think we have a chance.

  3. Eurovision has become a farce...although come to think of it, it always was...The UK song didn't deserve to win on account of it being completely c**p....but it did not deserve to be beaten by Spain and France whose entries were embarrassing...

I think that shows us what our European friends think of us...let them pay for their own contest in future....being snubbed at a party is one thing but being snubbed at a party you paid most towards is something else...and this was most definitely a snub not just a bad song...time to get our coats..

If it hadn't been for Ireland and one other country we would have ended up with nil points!

And can someone explain to me how come Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia managed to sneaky out of Asia and take part in a European contest?

  4. I didn't think he did bad, or that it was a humiliating defeat.

The only reason he wasn't anywhere at the top was because of political reasons and everybody, basically, hates United Kingdom, bar us - Ireland.

I think he did the UK proud, and if anything - his career will thrive from here on in.

  5. why do people watch this garbage, and Andy would have been better off trying to continue on with his singing career than participating in this joke of a show.

  6. just goes to show people need their bins emptied not some cheesy piece of s**+'t song that wouldnt reach number 49 in the albanian top 50.  if i was him i'd stick to being a bin man.  hes gaurenteed some success that way.  its amazing what some people throw away!

  7. No I don't think so he did us proud every-one knows that the votings all to do with politics NOT music like it should be.

  8. His career was probably already in tatters, which is why he did Eurovision.

  9. No - because he gave a good performance and it is so blindingly obvious how/why the votes were cast as they were.

He can't really have expected to win.

  10. we should jsut boycott the eurovision, not just england, the whole of western europe.

Leave the eastern block to suck up to each other all they like.

  11. Nah - the voting's political. It's got bugger all to do with music and hasn't for the last decade or so.  Maybe now the BBC will pull the plug on this parody of a "competition". Why the f**k should I and millions of other mugs who pay a Licence fee continue to contribute towards sh*t of this magnitude?

EDIT: ANYBODY KNOW IF THERE'S ANY PETITIONS GOING TO "SCRAP THE c**p"?!!!!!

  12. No he will be ok, but the song was rubbish

  13. If Britain can't see that they are treated like fools by the rest of the EU then there is no hope for us. Andy Abrahams wasn't the worst in the show, we should pull the funding now and let the rest of Europe see that the gravy boat is being returned home.

  14. I watch it but I am always dissapointed in our entry ,I dont think Stars want to go in for it ,Because of the voting system ,Years ago they would have top stars like Sandie Shaw Lulu and Cliff Richard ,Now they put up Wannabes,Like somebody else said, people trying to boost their career Or Models like Jordan who cant sing  ,I heard Andy Abrahams helped write the song it was awful ,I found for the first time I actually liked 50 percent of the songs ,My Favourite Greece came second ,if the voting hadent been political they would maybe have won ,I honestly think anybody of any value Songwriters or Singers  dont want the Humiliation of it ,Andy Abrahams was a brave man to have entered it ,Wont do him much good will it.

  15. No, i guess people don't like us in the UK :(

  16. I think the whole competition is now a joke!! Even Terry Wogan admitted as much!! Especially with the Eastern European countries now ganging up against the rest of Europe. Did you notice how few western European countries were competing? even Ireland were missing!

I think the UK should simply pull out of this farce in future. I know for most of Europe it is still a novelty and fun but i think for the UK to be humiliated in this way year on year is beyond a joke!

As for Andy Abrahams, I think he made a bad call but I hope the British people won't hold that aganst him personally. Afterall, it's not his fault that the European have no musical taste!!
