  1. That is a big maybe. I think he will because he averages 16 wins a year.

  2. that be the case, from 2009 through 2013 Andy would have to average about 17 wins a season ...  it's a realistic plight, but unfortunately I can't imagine it ...  If Pettitte had to take half the winter the past two years to decide whether or not he wants to pitch, chances are pretty good that he won't stick around 5 more years ...  I'm just crossing my fingers that he'll come back next year...

IF he happens to play five more years, I think Andy would fall about 15 wins short ...  even with the Yankees being a 90 win team consistently, you have to consider an old man like Pettitte might endure some injuries ..  his elbow could start barking again, his back could tense up like David Wells ...  you never know ...  I can't see him winning 17, 18, 20 games as a 40 year old ...  he's just not Roger Clemens in that sense ...  the only chance I think Pettitte has is if he has one big season, like if he wins 21 or 22 games next year ...  that could change everything ...  but realistically, I can't see him in the 300 win club ... don't get me wrong .. it'd be awesome, but Cy Young, Warren Spahn, Greg Maddux, Nolan Ryan ... Andy Pettitte?  It sounds almost as weird as Willie Mays looked in a Mets uniform

  3. He'll probably be roughly 80 wins away at the end of this season.  That means he'll have to average 16 wins a year to reach 300 from the ages of 37 to 41.  I don't think he'll be able to do that.  He'll probably have to pitch 7 more years to get there and I don't think he'll pitch that long.

  4. no way.. He is on the Juice.. I wonder why he has been proven guilty and the fan don't throw needle at him.... makes you wonder what color has to do with it........ why don't they threaten his family... what does color have to do with it......What color is a baseball........What color does america want baseball ......

  5. If the yankees have great years for all 5, yes, but if they have even one bad season he'll need atleast 6 more years under his belt.

  6. I don't think so

  7. Realistically, No.  Right now he's 88 wins away from 300, and after this season would probably need to average about 16 wins a year for the next 5 seasons.  This is asking ALOT from a 36 year old pitcher.

  8. Andy Pettite will not win 300 games. No way, no how. End of story.

  9. he will get more than 300 wins, but he'll need more than 5 years and i think he's gonna pitch till hes like 42-44 soo thats saying he will get 300 wins sometime in like 6 or 7 years.

he's 88 wins away so if he takes 6 years he'll need 14 and 15 win seasons.

if he takes 7 years he'll need 12 and 13 win seasons.

this is saying if he stays healthy, too.
