Is Animal Science....?

like zoology?...

im on the iowa state website and im trying to choose what program i want to be in but i dont kow which one to choose...

theres alot with animals...

three of my coworkers have an undergrad degree in animal science, we work for pharma research.

What is it you want to do? Either animal science or zoology might get you there. Even other degrees such as animal behavior or animal management could be acceptable degrees, depending on what it is you want to do.

For example, if you wanted to be an animal trainer at SeaWorld they recommend:

°  academic coursework in zoology, marine biology, animal behavior or psychology (preference is given to those applicants with a college degree)

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in psychology, biological sciences, or drama; in some cases, scuba certification

Even animal science can get you a job at SeaWorld.

Zoology majors study animals, their internal workings, and their activities.

I don't know about other animal science programs, but Cal Poly has 11 areas of study within animal science.
