Is Anyone else joining in the gas out on May 15th?

What do you think would happen if absolutely no one bought gas on May 15th?  I'll tell ya...people, in anticipation of not buying gas on the 15th would fill up the day before.  Those that did not buy ahead and are running on fumes would have to fill up on the 16th.

The only thing the gas stations and oil companies would notice is a huge sales spike on the 14th, a big drop on the 15th followed by yet another spike on the 16th.  However, the 3-day average for the 14th to the 16th would show normal volume sales for that time period.  

In other words, this scheme cannot work.

Did not hear about it. But, it is really pointless because what is one day going to do. When you need gas, you need it. You have no choice but to buy it so what is the point of not buying it for one day when the next day, you will have to go buy it?

Didn't they do that for May 2nd? What did that prove? People still bought gas. Either that day, the day before, or the day after. Big deal. WTF???

What people should be doing is boycotting a certain brand. all together every day of the week. Then, there prices would drop to entice. And then other brand stations will drop to the new low...etc...etc...etc...

We did on May 2nd.I haven't heard about one on May 15th.I am in Arkansas.Where are you?

yes i have heard the same and definitly doing it... if every one did it the oil companies would have a back log of gasoline and they would have to drop the price to move it...or they would have to pay more storage on it.... i think we should all do one better.... do not go anywhere or buy anything... don't go to work ... don't go to the doctors... (unless of coarse it is an emergency.... i don't know i guess it might help... it couldn't hurt and it would be a crowd pleaser...lol

this has been tried in the past and has had little if any effect. try not buying gas from the biggest gas company there is, exxon, mobile. chose another company to buy ur gas from, when the gas stockpile starts backing up on exxon,mobile then they will lower their prices which in turn will cause the other to follow suit.
