Question:

Is Apologia science overly religious?

I am looking for a secular curriculum for science, but I am failing at finding anything.

I heard most are satisfied with Apologia but I hear it is very religious.

Does it get in the way of the subject (chemistry, physics)?

Would someone not religious get annoyed with it?

Any other suggestions for a science curriculum?

Thanks.

  1. Word of advice anything that has religion and science is no no. u need something with just facts. http://www.hometrainingtools.com/article...

shows how 2 choose a science curriculum

  2. Apologia is overly religious.

Check out free courses from www.courserepository and www.hippocampus.org

Also you can purchase CyberEd biology and chemistry from www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.com

There are free online high school courses listed at www.hoagiesgifted.org  just use the site's search engine to find them.

You can also purchase high school science (and AP) courses through a source such as APEX.

    Good luck!

  3. I really like Apologia science.  It has some theories that are religion based but it doesn't belabor the point.  There is a lot of good, hard, easy to understand science in it.   I have tried Alpha Omega Science and ACE science and had to throw them out because not only was the science flawed but so was the religion!    I do not like faith based curriculum at all, but I do like Apologia Science.  We have the high school level Biology and Physics and really enjoy it.
