Is Arjun Tank a Copy of German Leo2A4 Tank ?

Is Arjun tank of Indian army developed by DRDO a copy of German Leo2A4 ? As it looks so much like Leopard 2A4 Tank?

i am wondering because when you look at their pictures they both have strong resemblance to each other .

  2. i don't think so d.r.d.o. spent lott of yrs to built the arjun tank and it is a indigenous one if they wanted to make a copy of german tank they would have simply imported them from germany than spending lott of money and time to invent a new tank variation

  3. They do have a very strong resemblance, and I think the turret design was derived from the German Leopard. What I know for sure is that the Arjun uses a German MTU diesel powerplant. By that, it's probable that some parts of the Arjun were derived from the Germans' designs.
