  1. Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has expressed his gratification over staying at Emirates but wants to sign a new contract by the end of the season. Samir Nasri’s agent publicly stated that the Frenchman is more than happy at Arsenal and wants to extend his stay at Emirates. He added that Nasri also wants to win few laurels with the Gunners before making a move away from north London.
The 23-year-old said, “We promised each other to speak about this subject after the season ends. One of the reasons I came to Arsenal was to win titles and I'm not expecting to leave without one.”
Samir Nasri, whose current contract is set to expire by the end of the 2011-12 season, has admitted that he is pleased to hear rumors linking him with the big clubs of Europe. But the former Marseille player insisted that he wants stay at Arsenal for a long time. He added, “I'm always flattered when my name is mentioned in connection with any big club. But I also know how things work. I don't think about these things. If there was any offer it would be different, then I would have to make a choice. As things are right now, I feel happy here and I have the confidence from the manager. But things can change quickly in football and then we could have a new situation.”
The French midfielder has been exceptional in the ongoing 2010-11 season and his impressive performances have put Arsenal in a place where they can challenge at four fronts. Nasri has not won any silverware with Arsenal since his arrival from Marseille for reportedly £12.5 million in 2008.
