  1. Aruba and Curacao are dependencies of the Netherlands. They're not countries. They're very near Venezuela though, so I think it's OK if you got confused


  2. Aruba is a small island 20 minutes north of an oil producing region in Venezuela, but it is not part of Venezuela is part of the Netherlands. Curazao is also an island close to Venezuela that is not part of it.
