Is Atlante's Federico Vilar just a punk?

Much of the fracas between Atlante and New England in Wednesday's Superliga semifinal was his doing. Compare that with Pachuca 'keeper Miguel Calero, who was an active peacemaker during the scuffle between Pachuca and Houston.

  1. vilar kicks ***. a fight doesnt make him a punk people get heated during games thats just what happened during the game someone said somthing to him and had to blow off some steam.

  2. the game was over when he kicked the guy's a.s.s and no he is great and the temper is just right. arriva vilar!!

  3. villar its a good portero he would be a star in the mls. but it seems that you have never played futbol things sometimes get over heated that happens everywhere from high school to the best leagues

  4. Vilar is usually the peacemaker but i guess something NE did pissed him off. I think he went out there trying to protect his teammates because they were getting pushed around.

He did what all of the other Mexican teams wanted do and he didn't stop, he wanted more!

But I do think he needs to cool down a bit since he's been involved in post-game fights twice this week, after the toluca game and wednesday.

  5. Vilar did what everyone else wanted to do. While he probably shouldn't have hit the guy he had every right to be angry.

  6. Nah he's gangsta......the Revolution player got what he deserved

  7. vilar is not a punk maybe your a punk. vilar has every right to get mad like his team

  8. I don't think so, the ref could've avoided that if he wasn't doing what the revolutions players told him, did you know that at the end he only red carded the atlante players?

I'll admit Vilar isn't known to be a hot head, he is a leader and his actions against New England were unprofessional but i would've done the same,

still if the ref wasn't an amateur he could've avoided all of this but he just let the players throw kicks whenever they wanted to.

Blame the MLS for that not Vilar.

  9. futbol picante said vilar left the tournament with no dignity.

I think it was uncalled for to start hitting other players and then his comments afterward.

I dont blame him for being upset but he didnt know how to control his temper.he was clearly wrong.
