  1. That would be plenty enough

  2. With most of your expenses already paid for, $3,000AUD for ten days is a lot. Thailand is much less expensive than Australia, you should be able to live like a queen for $300AUD per day. You'll be able to eat in expensive restaurants, go to the best clubs, have a spa treatment everyday, go shopping everyday and still have money left over. Don't worry, $3,000 AUD will be plenty.

  3. Yeah, you'll be fine.

  4. WOW, I was there for 18 days and didnt spent and didnt spend that much!

Its insanely cheap.  You can get a hostel room for around Ame $15/night.... Pad Thai was around 60 cents.... I could eat a couple meals for around $3!  You wont need that much, unless you plan to buy a **** load stuff at the markets... but if you want to spend thatmoney on things, then go for it, but I dont think you will need tha tmuch, I think you would only need about half of that, and might come home w/ extra cash!

Enjoy your trip, its freaking awesome. highly recommand Koh Phi Phi/Krabi area... There is a place called Long Island and then another place I can't think of right now around the bend of Long Island... take the boat trip which takes you to the beach from the movie "The Beach" along with Bamboo Island and Monkey Island!  Have fun!

  5. I think it should be fine. but when traveling abroad, the more money the better in case of an emergency. You never want to be stuck abroad. Also, you never know what and how much things you will buy until you're there. I'm sure the art and memorabilia is gorgeous and you'll want to spend money.

  6. It's too much.

  7. AUD$3000 is about B90000, which is plenty.

    have a great time.

  8. Yeah, it's okay. If you actually speak Thai then you can get things usually at least half as cheap as tourist get them for. Merchants have one price for locals and another for foreigners.

I have a friend who lives in Bangkok and he only spends $400 a month on everything.
