Is Aunt Flow likely to arrive early?

My last period was 12th July, and i have a 34day cycle..

So by my calculations my Aunt Flow should be "gracing" me with her presence around 15th August..

However, since Sunday night (3rd Aug) i have been cramping and have dull back ache as well.. With really tender swollen b*****s - i am not expecting my BFP at all, i am pretty certain that im not pregnant this month... I was just wondering if it is normal to have cramps nearly a fortnight before your period - normally it only happens a few days before..

Do you think i will be on my period sooner than usual?

  1. With my experience Aunt Flow can show up whenever she wants, and if its going to be an inconvenience its more likely. However really tender swollen b*****s could be a sign of that BFP you're looking for. Good luck.

  2. Generally ovulation happens 2 weeks before your next period...and ovulation can be accompanied by cramping and swollen b*****s..hence it could be that you are ovulating...

  3. do you usually get regular or irregular periods? if they're regular and you're feeling too much cramping try also taking an hpt a few days before your period is due :) if they're irregular it's best to talk to a doctor to help you regulate them and find out ovulation day easier, you can also ask a doctor online for free for advice, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!

  4. It could be

That's happened to me before especially when i'd have about 6 bottles of lucozade boost (during exams i pop them like mints) or anything acerbic or even bitter citric drinks.

I've had my period come 7 days early before(i must say, in the thirteen years or so years that i've been visited by aunt flow:-) its only happened twice or thrice).

Ofcourse we are all different and there have been months when i've cramped weeks early and the the period still turns up on the right day (tweeks later)

The female body is a beautiful complex and intriguing form.

You'll just have to wait it out i'm afraid.

    Good luck

  5. no one can really tell if you are pregnant or not, but the reason i knew i was pregnant is because i had mild cramps like af and a dull back ache 7dpo which was to soon for my normal af cramps, i tested 3 days after i started getting the cramps and got a positive, so it is possible you could be pregnant, good luck when you do test
