I live in the US. I visited Australia for a couple of weeks and loved it! I wouldn't study abroad particularly for my studies, but to enjoy the country. Though, how is the colleges at Australia and such?? The more you can tell me, the better. For example, what city/cities is the best part of Australia? and is studies harder than the US?

  1. Australia is a great country to study in. I live in Sydney, but i used to live in Adelaide. I came to Sydney to study here, i attend the Syndey University (www.usyd.edu.au) it's a great university to study at. I would recommend picking a city, and then a university.

You could also study in Adelaide, but Adelaide is much smaller and is more of a quiet city, and has a lot of elderly people. But we have the Adelaide University, which is about 125 years old. i decided not to study in Adelaide because i had gone to high school there and i was a little tired of it, plus i had some family in Sydney.

You could also study in Melbourne, which is smaller than Sydney, but still bigger than Adelaide. Melbourne is a very artistic city and has a lot of young people, and it is only about a half an hour flight away from Sydney. If you go to Melbourne, i would recommend Monash University, or the University of Melbourne.

It really depends on what kind of city you would like to live in, and the weather you prefer. Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne can be quite cold during winter, but places like Queensland or Darwin are hotter. Also if you like beaches or not, because Adelaide has quite a few that are close to the city and are generally pretty unpopulated, whereas Bondi in Sydney can be really packed during summer.

good luck, and the universities here are great!

  2. As Jessica said Australia is great! I'm currently studying at the University of Queensland which is one of the oldest universities in Australia, I love it. It's probably the best university in this state but I'm not sure about other states as I haven't been there, but I've heard only good things about them. Sydney is great obviously because it's so well known; I personally love Brisbane (capital of QLD). I think the studies are about the same, but I'm going to the US next year (maybe you could answer my q and help me pick a uni! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... ) so I guess I'll find out!

    Good luck

  3. Australia is a great place to come and study at. In Australia we don't really have colleges but universities. It depends on what university you go to. E.g if you go to the top universities obvisouly the uni is going to be good while if u go to a small poor uni then it won't be that good of an experince. The state New South Wales is the best state to study at because it has Sydeny in it which is commonly known as the city side of Australia. If choosing a city to study at i highly recommend Sydney.  I don't think the studies are harder nor do i think they are easier to the U.S. But that's my opinion. Good luck!
