Considering it's relatively small population (around twenty million) compared to China (over 1 billion), the USA (300 million) and Great Britain (60 million) and the fact we have more medals than countries like Germany (80 million) and Russia (140 million) thus far

Per capita we're coming third. Well ahead of other powers. We won't win the most medals, but we always punch well above our weight.
