  1. AVAST is better in terms of detection and resource usage.  however it still detects a couple of false positives than AVG which is its downside.  On a higher note, NEVER install two antivirus software running both in real time as they would only conflict each other.  If you know how to disable its real time scanning then you can have the other as your on demand scanner but if you do not know how to then it is better to just have one AV.

  2. AVAST IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... MUCH BETTER THAN AVG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Detection rates:

    Avast - 87%

    AVG - uhhh.....30%

Switch from avg to avast, like millions of people do every day ;-)

Avast is good but I can also recommend spybot, superantispyware and spywareblaster.

  3. yes because it has better detection rates

  4. Yea , Avast is Better

  5. Yes, Avast is a much better program than AVG.  You can only run one Antivirus at a time though so you shouldn't be trying to run them both at the same time.

Honestly though, Avira is even better then Avast.  So you might consider using that program above the other two:

You'll also want to make sure you have antispyware and a firewall on the computer.  Check out the following link:

I'd recommend using the active protection antispyware and not the ones at the top.  They're for removal.

  6. Yes Avast is better.
