  1. Look into monavie too.  It is a great home based business and people are making a ton of money off it.  I make a couple extra thousand a month hardly doing anything. check out http://mymonavie.com/bestdownline

  2. One of my representatives was selling Avon as well, and her profit after catalogs, gas to deliver, etc. was about 10%.

What you have to consider here, is that in order to really make money, you have to be out there.  You have to ring doorbells, show people samples, chat and get their orders.  You would be out of the house just as much as if you were working a regular job.  Avon has a very questionable comp plan, to say the least, I was actually annoyed at the amount of work she put into it for very measly returns.  There are so many other businesses out there that offer products people are actually looking for today, and their pay plan is far superior...you get paid what you are worth.

Think "big" and you will earn big.

  3. ABSOLUTELY! ... I've been selling Avon for over 15 years;  it has name recognition and tv advertising.  It's rated as one of the very best skin care lines, at a fraction of the department store prices, and does no animal testing!  That's extremely important to people now:) ......  It only costs $10 to sign up, and you are not required to stock ANY inventory (as opposed to Mary Kay, which requires at least $300).  Also, your only requirement is submit an order every 2 weeks, with a minimum of $1 order!  That's to keep your paperwork on track, and coming:)  So, you don't have any "quotas" to meet:)   ...  You will have a District Manager who will give you all the personal help you need:)  You submit your orders on-line too ....  Avon has always been ranked one of the Top 5 best-run companies in the country, and is traded on the NY stock exchange;  it has an EXCELLENT reputation! ... ...  Look at it this way:  Even if you just make enough to pay for the things that you need for your family (and birthday/Christmas gifts), you're already ahead! ........

  4. My mom used to do Avon as a second job, back in the 70s and 80s when she and my dad were young and struggling with 3 kids.  It worked for her.

I honestly think you should look into Mary Kay.  You can get your own Mary Kay website where you can tell your friends to order from, so that you don't have to physically visit them to retrieve orders.  It's much more convienent, and they offer more incentives and rewards than Avon does.

Plus, I think Mary Kay products are higher quality than Avon, and your friends will keep buying them.

  5. Hi, I am a stay at home mom with three kids also and I sell Avon on the side. I like it because it gives me a little extra income. You don't need to have a car, you could sell online or just to neighbors. Also Avon only cost $10 to start up with, you don't need to invest of hundreds of dollars. With that $10  dollars you get 2 campaign worth of stuff. If you have any questions please email me and let me know.  I think you would do great, if you sign up with me I will help you with whatever you need.

  6. It's awesome for stay at home moms.  I also have 3 kids and do this full time with only 1 car in my household so it could definitely be done.

Not sure if you are aware but it is only $10 to get started and there have been many stay at home moms able to do this successfully from home.

You can sign yourself up online with a few representatives from Avon and I just so happen to be one of them so if you are interested you could go to the website and contact me for the online application website.

    Hope this answered your question!

  7. yes, avon is one of the best stay at home jobs for a mother and i think you should try out i know many people that have worked in this job i loved it and i advice you to check it out on the avon website- www.avon.com

also if that doesn't work out well then you can get a part time job on the weekends check at zellers, walmart, bluenotes, any fast food restureant such as Tim Hortons or Subway

check on the internet there are plenty of jobs if you only want to work on weekends

  8. Hello Tink,

True Avon has been around a very long time and generally has a good name but the fact remains that due to their longevity the market has reached a saturation point so as you already mentioned the income potential is not that great. There are however other fabulous opportunities available. I was able to retire at a early age due to the success of several homebased businesses I started. My time is now spent with my wife, our five children and helping as many people I can start their own home based business. I am always available to answer your questions and help in anyway I can.

  9. Im a stay at home mom, and I work from home, but not for Avon. Email me at lgrahamteam1@gmail.com if you'd like to hear more!

    Good luck!

  12. many places will be more and happy to hire you just for the weekends. That's when they need the most help.

you could always work 2nd shift,Even if it is part time that will help a bit.

    Avon is a good thing.

Candles is another good thing to sell.

  13. i honestly do not think that selling avon will get you that car that you want, unless you are getting help from your hubby, or if you get another job to help w/that.I mean that selling avon do not pay well at all, i know from my cousin who used to sell avon, it really is good for pocket cash, nothing more.So if i were you i'd look into something more substantial, and that will pay a bit more than selling avon.GL hun!

  14. Yes to past time

    but not in your case

Hun, sorry to say but you dont get paid you jsut get discounts on avon in the maginzes

  15. Avon has been around for every and a day.  My Grandma buys Avon til this day.  It can be a very good business opportunity for you, however you need to re-train your mind.  You can't walk into Avon thinking like an employee, or that you will try it.  If you do, you will fail.  You need to go into Avon thinking about it as a business oportunity.  You can make little money, or become self sufficient, but you have to be willing to put the time, effort and energy into building a successful business.  that doesn't happen over night.  The opportunity in home based businesses are incredible, even if you just have a small amount of time to work with.  You have to utilize this time.

I know an article on home based businesses that I think will really help you understand how businesses work, what's involved etc.
